The final day of the Cornwall winter adventure, on the St Moritz hotel’s Gourmet Trip, was pamper day.
After a lot of walking, exploring and being blown around on the beaches we were in need of a bit of rest and relaxation, so spent our final day inside, leaving our wind whipped red faces in the hands of the professionals.
First thing was first however… a feast for breakfast. Local, orange-yolked, eggs, slick slithers of salmon, lots of herbal teas and fresh fruit was just some of the food on offer. There was also a standard continental spread of cereals, pastries and yoghurt too.
The cooked food was particularly delicious, undeniably good quality ingredients, all perfectly cooked. Praising on the egg poacher.
Cowshed spa is attached to the hotel, offering a number of different treatments to their guests. Massages, body wraps, pedicures you can have it all.
After a good half hour in the sauna and a bit of pool action we headed over for full hour skin perfecting facial treatment, including exfoliation, steam, mask (and more) to get our skin glowing.
If you aren’t really one for gongs, clanging bells and flutes piping away, this is a place for you. There is nothing less rejuvenating than a pied piper tooting away in your ear whilst you try to relax and there is none of that here. Just a little bit of waves lapping the ocean.
If you don’t manage to make it this far (although I most definitely recommend you do!) you can also find Cowshed treatments in spas dotted around London and also in the US too.
