Ah ha, a new potsu you ask? Well, not exactly….
Over the last few months I have been working with the wonderful team at Itsu, getting involved in the creation of their newest product, the healthy, tasty and convenient Crystal Noodle Cups.
Far from any average pot noodle, these little beauties are made with aromatic, natural broth paste (with no nasties) and 100% natural, gluten free, crystal clear harasume noodles.
For convenience and practicality these cups are key. So often deep flavoursome broths can take hours, or often days to prepare, so these are my chef’s cheat. (Don’t tell) They are the perfect grab and go when I have 5 minutes after a long day, before heading out for drinks. Although delicious on their they are also a great base to get experimental with in the kitchen too.
The Crystal Noodle Cups come in three flavours: The Chicken Jaipur, Chicken Classic and Vegetable Festival
All of them are super tasty, but I find the one I use the most is the Chicken Classic, purely because it is so versatile and lends its self to the addition of almost any ingredients. A few chunks of pan fried chorizo, a poached egg, baby leaf spinach and a dollop of smoked chilli paste is my current pimped pot.
They are a definite upgrade to lacklustre lunchtime sandwiches and suppertime ready meals… i’m sure you will agree, and at only £2.29 a pop.
Just in case you are wondering where you can find them. They are already available in Sainsburys nationwide and have been since 12th August. As of yesterday, they are also available with Ocado, Tesco, Waitrose, Wholefoods, Selfridges and Partridges, so check em out and please do let me know what you think.
