  • 6 eggs
  • 1 avocado
  • 12 rashers bacon
  • 100g smoked salmon
  • cream cheese
  • 4-8 bagels
  • 1 punnet cress
  • sundried tomato paste
  • chives
  • capers

Making Bagels with Jamie Laing


Step 1

For the eggs

Crack the eggs into a glass mixing bowl and beat them until they turn a pale yellow colour. Heat a heavy-bottomed nonstick sauté pan over medium-low heat. Add a couple of tablespoons of butter and let it melt, or add the eggs to a pan with warmed bacon fat. Add the 3-4 tablespoons of water to the eggs and season to taste with sea salt and black pepper. Then, grab your wooden spoon and stir as it cooks, until you reach the desired texture.

Step 2

Serve with crispy bacon, toasted bagels and all your other chosen toppings
